As a copywriter, I turn complex ideas in powerful narratives that reach patients, caregivers, and doctors. I came to copywriting through editing, which left me with an eye for the right word in the right place.
As a screenwriter, I bring that same precision to my narrative scripts. My work has been recognized by the Austin Film Festival, Oregon Independent Film Festival, CineStory, and Shore Scripts. I recieved an MFA in TV & Screenwriting from Stephens College, a program championing female and other underrepresented voices. I now teach screenwriting at Marquette University.
Recently, I founded a writers retreat with fellow writer Melody Herr. The If…Writers Retreat (ifstorycamefirst.com) is designed as a place for emerging and established TV/film writers to find inspiration, community, and the time and space to write.
